What is a Facility Dog?

A facility dog is a specially trained dog who works alongside staff in a specific setting, such as a school, hospital, therapy center, or other organization. Facility dogs provide comfort, support, and assistance to multiple people as part of their work.

Unlike service dogs, facility dogs are not partnered with one individual and are trained specifically for the needs of the organization they serve.

For example, a facility dog might work in hospitals, community resource centers, mental health facilities, schools, court houses, residential programs, fire stations and more.

Pricing (Starting September 1st, 2026)

Fully trained facility dog training and placement fees (rescue dog) - $8,000.00
*Fully trained facility dog training and placement fees (purpose bred labrador retriever) - $12,000.00
Adoption fee- $600

*Facility dogs are selected based on temperament, health, training suitability, and the needs of the organization they will serve. If a facility requires or requests a purebred Labrador Retriever due to the nature or requirements of their work, additional fees may apply.
