Adaptive Art at Journey 21

Our therapy dogs recently had the pleasure of visiting the Life Enrichment Program for adults at Journey21 for a special Adaptive Art Class.

Journey21 provides a safe, welcoming space where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build confidence, develop new skills, form meaningful connections, and grow with purpose. Through programs focused on creativity, independence, wellness, and community engagement, participants are encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive in a supportive environment.

During the Adaptive Art Class, our therapy dogs provided calm, comforting support while participants expressed their creativity through hands-on art activities. Together, the class created watercolor paintings inspired by our therapy dogs and spent time coloring some of our favorite well-loved coloring sheets featuring Rukia, Sebastian, and Lana.

Lana especially enjoyed soaking up all the attention and affection from participants throughout the day. She received so much love and truly had the best time ever!

We are incredibly grateful to Journey21 for welcoming us into such a warm and mission-driven community. Watching the participants create, connect, and share smiles alongside our therapy dogs made for a truly enriching experience.

We can't wait to return for future Adaptive Art events in the coming months and create even more memories together!
